Busy time at Embrace

Over the last few months, I have been very busy with Embrace, competing, judging and picking up with my dogs.

Since moving from Droxford to Selborne, the ground has certainly given Embrace the option to extend the gundog side of the training. New groups have been formed, handlers have gained new experiences and some will compete next year for the first time.

A new puppy gundogs group has started on a Thursday and a Monday. All puppies are learning new skills using Reward-based methods. It makes me smile watching them learn with their handlers.

Monday's remain in Droxford in a new field where puppy courses take place, puppy gundogs, giving those young dogs a good start on their journey and older dogs coming for some fun. Parking is on-site as well.

I have been on the road competing my middle dog Eddie and he has shown what he is capable of. We had 4 field trial runs in a week and Eddie finished all of them. Eddie gained 4 awards in total with a Novice Field Trial Win to finish.

I am Field Trial Secretary for The Labrador Retriever Club and I have managed 3 Field Trials this season,

I have also managed to find some picking up this season and the dogs have been out enjoying themselves doing what they love.

2022

A new puppy course will be starting in January 2022 along with a new puppy gundogs so please do keep an eye out on my website and Facebook page.

A busy few months however I have enjoyed every minute of it,
